with the rise of the super console I think a lot of minkees have gone to Xbox for their entertainment.
not sure how many were swallowed up by WoW.

UT servers are still plentiful and Multiplay UK have taken up the challenge with a whole host of different game styles and playing types.
I am usually on the DM Combo instagib server meself with occasional forays into CTF Combo insta or Deck All Weapons.

of late I have been playing Stalker Shadow of Chernobyl, Stalker Clear Sky and recently Stalker Call of Pripyat.
the first two games have really good mods that make it more of a challenge whilst smartening up the grafix by loads.
CoP isn't actually released yet in the UK so I got a Russian version and stuck a patch in it with a somewhat pigeon English translation (pure bablefish).

been playing uncharted 2 on the PS3 and also Batman Arkham Asylum.
still waiting for the 2 GTA4 addons to come out on the PS3.
You failed to maintain your weapon, Son.
I don't reckon you've got long. Seen that before. Gut wound. The slug's probably torn right through your liver. Mate of mine in Ulster got caught in sniper fire. Bullet blew his inside out. He screamed for a good 10 minutes. We couldn't send a medic in, the section was too hot. So we all took cover... and watched him die. I've never told that... to anyone... you should've called an ambulance... for the girl...

Nice one bud.......

I haven't played UT at all this year. Might slap it on the new PC and have a smash with ya bud. Are there any major problems using a Quad Core with UT? I heard some time ago that the Gfx Cards of late run it badly, any info?

Sadly UT's 10 year point was this year in September (I think) and went past un-noticed :)

I play World Of Warcraft avidly now and have done since Jan this year. The missus allowed me to purchase a new PC and monitor, i convinced her that I need a powerful one to make sure we can still use it next year ;)

I really enjoyed Stalker on my old PC, very glitchy and would often crash......grrrr I do have the occasional thrash at Dragon Age Origins (think thats it) plays really nicely.

Apart from my dad having a Major Stroke nothing amazing happening this end. Still got the same car I have had for years......

Still got the 2 daughters (no additions unlike Jaybo who now lives soley on his benefit in a mansion :P )

So yeah all good now :) Still good to see some of the gang are knocking about here. I put Cyc on Facebook the other day too :)

ut runs well with an intel quad.
no sign of the problems with amd dual cores that I experienced.
mines running on a q6600 with 4gb ddr3, windows xp64 and 260gtx grafix.
there are issues with windows7 and the multiplay servers - something to do with the anti cheat stuff.
yes - believe it not there are still twats tryna cheat...

Hello lads,

I'm still lurking around, but for clarification the darkside is PS3 :)

Currently playing Forza Motorsport 3 but I have a couple of new games coming for Xmas, Assasins Creed 2 and Modern Warfare 2 both on Xbox of course. It's so much more comfortable sitting on a sofa and gaming rather than being hunched over a desk with a PC. As I work with PC's most of the day thats the last thing that I want to do when I get home, I have a laptop for a bit of surfing but gaming is now done exclusively on the 360.

Miss the old UT days though, but sadly Epic still haven't figured out how to make a good sequel, it's probably the only game that would get me to come back to PC gaming land. I still have UT installed on the PC, might pop on over the holiday and relive the magic.

Hope everyone is ok, got all your Xmas shopping done? I nearly have, just want to get a couple of more things. I break from work on the 18th and have to return on the 29th, 30th and 31st, then off again over the New Year. Can't wait for the rest tbh, must be getting old lol

I still come by here nearly every day to see if there's anything going on. Hey now there's a New Years resolution !!!! Must post more on 12m forums !!! lol

Anyway gotta scoot

Cyas and take care

Cool - I have to use Vista it's the only thing (apart from Windows 7) that recognises my 12GB DDR 3......I don't see what the problem with Vista is to be honest......mine hasn't crashed (you watch it bloody crash now) and it has some quite nice features.........ok I still prefer XP for simplicity....

Anyhoo - will pop UT on and see how it runs.......as Loki said, I too still miss the good old days :)

I think I'm pretty much done for serious PC gaming now. UT is still installed and I play it once every few months but I tend to quit after 30 minutes or so as soon as I realise it's still full of pricks. Same with quake live. I deleted WoW and all my UI mods... the hassle of getting it all back on is what stops me from getting sucked back in. I have moved over to the 360.. good fun with no aggro!

Still lurking as always but hardly gaming on the PC these days unless you count facebook games lol

Lots happened since i was last around so gaming in general cut down a lot but still out here somewhere.
UT is not just a game
For some of us it is a way of life
For those of us who have realised this
Our lives are enriched for this revelation

Well hello there.

After ut2k4 wasn't picked as the cpl game (epic changed publishers - painkillers year) and voids team got stolen by AMD I thought it best I give up on the 16 hour gaming sessions.

I've been married now for 2 years. Got a dog called Gus. Still a bit too stoned. Working as a poker dealer. Things are good.

Playing battlefield bad company 2 and league of legends at the moment.

soon!
