Gotta say for me, Sky broadband has been excellent. Not the best pings in the world but consistent.

Ill let you know how they are now, not played for ages.

is anyone on virgin? BE is giving me real trouble ping wise and the idea of moving to virgin and doing away with both BE and BT is somewhat appealing.

They do have bandwidth throttling (STM), but it "only affects 5% of users" which means you and me. It only applies during peak times, overnight you can knock yourself out. Apart from that the speeds are good, 50Mbit in some areas, due to be all cable areas by Summer 09. 50Mbit has no STM at this time as it is on DOCSIS 3 which is basically a seperate part of the network, away from all the 20, 10 and 4Mbit users.
