uhm kinda stupid ass question Rate Topic: -----

Hey all. Long time no see/speak.

Recently had big problems with my PC with lots of random crashes, hanging, not booting unless I went in under safe mode first (wtf??)

Anyways bit the bullet, couldnt fix it so reinstall (love how new installs are always so fast with no crap on it :) )

Anyways the only weird problem I seem to have is that on startup I cant hit the delete key to enter the BIOS. Infact theres just a black screen all the way thru boot and then bang windows is loading.

Not that I have anything to do in the BIOS mind u, but curious as to why I cant get in!

Any ideas anyone?? :)

could possibly remove the battery and wait 30 secs then put the battery back in, that normally resets the bios back to defaults

tried just hammering,

Del, F2 and F12 keys to see if you get in there?

Yeah, to be honest which button it is changes from company to company. If I don't know I just mash all the function keys on startup. :)

F1 is sometimes used as well.

fixed it eventually. Cant remember what key it was my managed to get it :)

Nice clean fresh install now, PC is running great!
