Whats better,

a: More fans sucking air in than blowing out?
b: More fans sucking air out than blowing in?

Whats the genreal concensus of opinion on core2quad (Q6600) cpu temperatures?

Mine is 35 idle and about 48-52 load. Are these ok?

equal amounts of in and out is what I have and I have no issues with case temp at all.
120mm on front n back.

those temps for cpu are fine matey
You failed to maintain your weapon, Son.
I don't reckon you've got long. Seen that before. Gut wound. The slug's probably torn right through your liver. Mate of mine in Ulster got caught in sniper fire. Bullet blew his inside out. He screamed for a good 10 minutes. We couldn't send a medic in, the section was too hot. So we all took cover... and watched him die. I've never told that... to anyone... you should've called an ambulance... for the girl...

thanks m8y,

was a little concerned that the quad was heating up more than it should. After a bit of diggin around on the intel website, it menstions that the thermal "trip" point for the q6600 is 71 degrees C. So that put my mind at ease a bit.

My GTX idles at 60 and under load for an hour or so is 75-80. Apparently this is ok.

Video cards tend to go higher it seems. I used to have an AMD cpu that went 75-80, never had a problem with it and it came in handy during the winter.

I have 2x 80mm on the front sucking in and 1x 120mm on the back blowing out.

Mine runs at 25 idle, about 40 for most games and it goes upto 50 at 100% load. Overclocked to 3GHz

parts put in new case, gfx idle temp has dropped 10 degrees, cpu temp dropped 5, all fans on low speed. Best thing is the noise, it's much much quiter than my old one.

Happy days :P
